On the west edge of Grayling, where M-72 bends through pine and river country, hunters and anglers have been starting their seasons at Skip’s Sport Shop for more than half a century. Walk through the door and the place carries its own scent — bowstring wax, oiled walnut, fresh bait, and stories traded across the counter. Advice here isn’t canned, it’s lived. It comes with a handshake, a smile, and a name remembered.

We’ve tuned bows for generations, helped folks track down that hard-to-find rifle, and sent more than a few anglers out before first light with a bucket of minnows and the right lure for a finicky bite.
